At the Stony Brook Well, a new, local house church in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston, we desire to learn about and experience the life and wellness Jesus offers, both individually and as a group. Our guiding principles are:

Growth: We desire to grow as whole people. We wrestle with the real issues of life and faith, by giving and receiving from one another in a more intimate setting than is typically possible in larger, institutional churches.

Community: We want to be a part of each other’s lives beyond the “meeting”. We were not meant to do life or faith alone.

Kingdom: We desire to understand and be a part of God’s Kingdom coming on Earth as it is in heaven, both near and far. We invite others to experience Jesus for themselves.

Our community strives to be anchored to Jesus in an unstable world, discovering God’s meaning and purpose for our lives. We express creativity in worship and authenticity with God and each other. We give and receive support, share in suffering and joy. We reach beyond ourselves to our community and the world, and want to grow to a place where we can birth new house churches.

 

The Stony Brook Well is affiliated with River of Life Church of Jamaica Plain (a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church) and is part of their River Network.
